Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ipog ("we", "us"), the operator of The Depth Engine (the "Service"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
The Depth Engine is an AI learning partner. It helps you study topics through structured explanations, challenges your reasoning, keeps a personal glossary and schedules reviews. Some features are free; others require a paid Pro subscription as shown on the pricing page.
2. Your account
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and if you use the Service for an organisation, you must have authority to bind it. Provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
- upload or generate content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, or that is hateful, abusive or malicious (including malware or deepfakes);
- attempt to jailbreak, probe, scrape, overload or otherwise interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service, or circumvent plan limits.
4. AI-generated content
Replies are produced by AI models and can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. They are for learning and are not professional (medical, legal, financial or other regulated) advice. You are responsible for your prompts, for checking outputs before relying on them, and for having the rights to any material you upload. The tutor labels claims it cannot source, but you should still verify important facts.
5. Your content and our intellectual property
You keep ownership of the material you upload and the notes you write. You give us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you, including sending relevant parts to AI providers to generate replies. We keep all rights in the Service, its software, design and branding. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and remove it where appropriate. Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended.
6. Content moderation
We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts that breach these terms.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. See our Refund Policy.
8. Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. After termination we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period unless the law requires us to keep it.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, or loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions about these terms can be sent to gopi@ipog.pro.
